Greetings from the heart...
And among the distinguished guests is the patron of the celebration, His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Judge Mohammad Wesam Al Murtada.
A respectful greeting and tribute to the spiritual leader of the Druze community, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Sami Abu Al-Muna, represented by the member of the Cultural Committee in the Religious Council, Dr. Firas Zaidan.
Dear representative of the Academy of Arab Cultural Ambassadors, Dr. Bassam Jamal Al-Din,
Respected President of The Higher Metn Artisan, Mrs. Inas Noueihed, and esteemed members, supporter of the Artisan and literary figure, Mrs. Wafaa Noueihed, President of the Municipality of Ras Al Metn, and head of the Higher Metn Union of Municipalities, Mr. Marwan Salha represented by Vice President Raja Abu Rouslan, President of the Ras Al Metn Women's Association, Mrs. Mona Ghazal, political and party bodies, intellectuals, and artists, we salute Lebanon's culture, thought, and creativity, embodied by its great poets and creative minds. We extend our greetings in this context.
Esteemed attendees,
Humans are the foundation, the first building block in every structure. Humans build and develop, evolving within themselves and with others, interacting with them. Our goal is to develop within ourselves and with others, interacting with them.
Our goal at The Higher Metn Artisan is to collaborate together towards constructive interaction and positive impact on our society. It's great for individuals to develop themselves, but it's even greater to transfer their knowledge and experiences to others and those around them.
Successful and developed societies care about everything produced by human thought and closely follow the rapid and important developments in scientific and technological fields.
Just as we need all this amazing progress, we also need many basic necessities in life. Agriculture is an utmost necessity, as well as factories, schools, healthcare, justice, and security. It is unfortunate for a nation to be drowning in diseases and corruption, governed by crime and darkness, and denied access to treatment and medicine.
Woe to a nation that does not cultivate, produce, or learn, and relies on other nations for its consumption.
Human beings, with their great ideas, need everything. Just as they need schools and universities, pens and books, and words, they also need brushes and colors, canvases, hammers and chisels, sculptures, poetry, strings, melodies, songs, and music.
And you, ladies and gentlemen, make up a deeply rooted civilized society, a noble presence with a culture and customs rich in great human values. Today we have answered the call and come together to meet an artist whose hands have painted genius in paintings and colors, and sculpted genius in rocks, stones, and cedar branches until he embraced the Lebanese cedar in the sky and bowed to its Creator... Rudy Rahme.
And we met a musician, when his fingers touch the strings, the nightingales sing, the sparrows chirp, and the larks sing. And when the melodies and rhythms gather in the absence of strings, he plays them on the strings of the activation of the poetry verses and rhyme echoes... Maestro Joseph Murad.
And just as poetry and rhymes stand upright, bow, salute and distribute creativity in every direction, Nizar Francis sang for the nation when it was great, and he sang it while it cried and disintegrated, and I expected its disintegration.
And we will also listen to the knight of TV series and the prince of interviews. Every time he rides the storms and sets off, these storms never stop until they break the record. He is the only Lebanese writer who has written television series alone, exceeding 170 episodes. The storm blows twice and women in the storm... Shukri Anis Fahouri.
And for a cultured man who worked tirelessly to make the National Library in Baakline a destination for every writer, poet, and intellectual, and through his efforts and follow-up, a theater was built on the library's premises. He is Mr. Ghazi Saab.
Greetings to the star of the golden era... the creative star, Elsie Ferneini.
Greetings to the president of the Professional Actors Syndicate, the star Georges Chalhoub, and to the president of the Music and Singing Professionals Syndicate, captain Farid Abou Saïd, as well as to the colleagues Afif Chaya, Riad Abdelhak, Nawal Chamoun, and Miraii Abboud.
From me to you all respect and admiration
