The Classical Theater Competition between the Higher Metn High Schools, launched by the Higher Metn Artisan Foundation since 2022 in cooperation with the Syndicate of Professional Artists in Lebanon and the Syndicate of Actors in Lebanon, was presented by the HMAF this year in its third season.
Under the patronage and attendance of His Excellency MP Hadi Abu Al-Hassan, the ceremony was held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the St. Joseph de Leon Sisters School Theater in Deir Al-Harf.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Ras El Matn, Mr. Raja Abu Raslan, the representative of the Syndicate of Educational Technology in Lebanon, Mrs. Ghadia Hilal, a group of community figures, and heads and directors of educational and social institutions.
The competition is subject to evaluation by a committee of the most important Lebanese names in acting, directing and language. It was composed of the brilliant artist Elsie Ferneini, who announced the results of the competition, Captain Nehme Badawi, Captain George Chalhoub, the star academic Michel Hourani and Captain Jihad Al-Atrash.

The ceremony was held at the theatre of the Saint Joseph de Leon Sisters School in Deir El Harf. Here we would like to thank the head of the monastery, Sister Christine Salameh, and the administrators and workers at the school for their reception and cooperation in presenting this special activity.
There is a backstage behind the implementation of any activity, and in this year’s theater competition, as every year, the unknown soldiers of the Higher Metn Artisan Foundation are doing a dedicated job in presenting the activity in the best possible way, as coordination and work are in full swing, in terms of following up with the participants, supervisors of the teams and participating students. As for the stage background and its preparation, here we must thank Mr. Raja Abu Raslan, Mayor of Ras El Metn, for his continuous cooperation and providing a means of transportation from the studio’s headquarters to the concert site and returning the stage background and the furniture needed for the theatrical scene, as well as preparing and implementing the background in a manner that is consistent with the theme of the theatrical scene.
The general and administrative bodies of the Higher Metn Artisan Foundation thank everyone who participated in this distinguished event, from attendees, photographers, sound engineers, and the management of the Saint Joseph de Lyon Sisters School for hosting the event for the third year in a row.
