"If you dare to aim for the highest honor, do not settle for anything less than the stars."
The honor of participation, the love of competition, the achievement of success, and the appreciation for the noble objectives that the competition was established for, as well as the perpetuation of human values, are the steps from which our team embarked
The tragic play 'Hamlet' was written by the renowned playwright William Shakespeare between 1599 and 1602. It revolves around the story of Hamlet's revenge against his uncle and father's murderer, 'Claudius'. Through this play, Shakespeare portrayed various human themes such as confusion, vengeance, greed, anger, love, and the human stance towards life and death.
As theater is considered the mother of the arts and has the most profound impact on people's souls, it was necessary for us to participate and seize the opportunity presented by The Higher Metn Artisan Foundation. They deserve our gratitude for their efforts in ensuring the success of this valuable work and reviving the theatrical art in high schools, especially in terms of returning to the native language, promoting eloquent expression, encouraging reading, and improving performance to help young talents reach a higher level of expressing their hidden and numerous abilities. Participating in such competitions and shedding light on these talents may be a beacon of hope for promoting theater in schools.
Our high school, Najib Baik Salha Official Secondary School, is a shining star among the high schools in Lebanon. The proof is that its students have participated in numerous competitions and various fields inside and outside Lebanon.
Finally, it is a great honor to present a theatrical work performed by our students in front of a respected committee composed of some of the most prominent figures in the history of literature, theater, and direction. We hope that our performance will be well received and accepted by your esteemed committee. It was trained in a short period of time and with modest resources and simple techniques. Hopefully, we can shed some light in the darkness and pave the way for ambitious and active youth. As they say, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Long live you, and long live The HigherMetn Artisan Foundation, the people of art, and the high taste. Long live Lebanon!
