Visit to the President of Higher Metn Union of Municipalities
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, a delegation from the Higher Metn Artisan comprising members of the administrative committee and General Assembly members, including Mr. Joseph Hashem and the Mayor of Ras El Metn, Mr. Raja Abu Rasslan, paid a congratulatory visit to the President of the Union of Municipalities of Higher Metn, Mr. Karim Sarkis, on his assumption of new duties and responsibilities in the presidency of the Municipalities Union in Higher Metn.
Mr. Sarkis was introduced to the ideas, vision, and goals of the Higher Metn Artisan and the achievements it has made since its inception in the end of 2020 up to August 2023.
Additionally, upcoming activities were presented, including "Artistic Gathering 2," hosted by Hasbaya Al-Metn Municipality. This event is organized by the Higher Metn Artisan in collaboration with the Social Welfare Work Committee in the town and will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2023.
Also "Let's Play with Grandpa" event, which will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in collaboration with Hilal Al-Nasr Club at the Issam Makarem Stadium in Ras El Metn. Mr. Sarkis has been invited to attend both activities.
Some ideas were presented regarding potential collaborations and their execution in the region. Additionally, it was agreed to organize the "Artistic Gathering 3" for the upcoming year in 2024 in the town of Shbania.
In turn, Mr. Karim Sarkis, the President of the Union of Municipalities in Higher Metn, welcomed the ideas of the Higher Metn Artisan and commended the efforts the organization has been putting into its activities. He especially noted how these activities benefit individuals and empower them within society. He expressed willingness to cooperate further, particularly in the context of the economic challenges the nation is facing as a whole.
